Matt's Programming (And Engineering) Nightmare

Welcome to my nightmare.

This website is going to look awful until I learn proper web development. So forever. Enjoy being my HTML-bare rubber ducky.

The Beginning

8/24/18

A while ago a friend recommended a start a blog and at the time I was like meh. But then I realized I could use a blog as a sort of stream-of-consciousness rubber ducky. I also have not written English since high school because I am a bum. So this is gonna look rough.

Reasons for starting a blog:

  • Shoutout to neocities for having similar shortcuts to VS Code. In fact I think I can mount this website and edit it in VS Code. That would be cool.

I'm starting this blog because I just starting delving into a new interest - audio plugin dev - and for the first time I seem to have delved into a programming field that has relatively little documentation in the form of StackOverflow answers. I can't exactly google "Why doesn't this sine wave sound like a sine wave?" And that's the whole reason for this blog. Because I can't generate a sine wave as a third-year computer engineering student. Rough.

    Also, here's the non-sine wave:

I mean, seriously, what the hell is that? I know its not aliasing because A. There are peaks above the harmonic and B. IT'S A SINE WAVE. LITERALLY the simplest shape. Anyway, I'm gonna tackle this tomorrow. If I was still in Illinois it would be 5:49PM and I would be free to work on this sine wave more. But since Matt, the "Ooooh this looks fun" guy wanted to study in Denmark, It's almost 1 AM and I'm going to sleep. I have disc golf to play and groceries to fetch and keys to return tomorrow. Bye.
